The Lights are Dim on Broadway
___As most of you visiting this site already know, we all too recently lost Anne Bancroft. She died in New York on Monday June 6th at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She had uterine cancer.
I felt I should write something here because I have recieved many sweet emails from fellow fans lending their support. I think I'm not the only one who when seeing the anouncement that Anne had died on the main page of yahoo.com was slightly happy, not for her death, but that one of the most visited web sites on the internet thought her death was important enouph to warrant the top story.
I was also very happy to hear that in honor of Anne's death, the lights of Broadway will be dimmed tonight, Wednesday June 8th.
The funeral will be held in New York and will be private. Once again, your kind words about Anne are very welcome here. If there is anything special you want me to post on my website, please email me and I will be creating a page for that. We will miss you Anne, it was too soon for us!
