American Theatre Wing's Antoinette Perry Awards

___The American Theatre Wing’s Antoinette Perry Awards are the American theatre’s most coveted honor.The Tony Awards Administration Committee is comprised of 24 members, of whom 10 are designated by the Wing, 10 by the League, and one each by the Dramatists Guild, Actors' Equity Association, United Scenic Artists, and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. This committee determines eligibility for nominations in all awards categories, reviews the rules governing the awards, and appoints the Nominating Committee. It may, at its discretion, give special Tony Awards, the Regional Theatre Tony Award, and Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre.

Anne has been nominated for the Tony Award three times and has won two of those three times.
    1958 - Anne Won the Tony Award for Actress, Supporting or Featured (Dramatic) for her portrayal of Gittel Mosca in Two For the Seesaw

    1960 - Anne Won the Tony Award for Actress (Dramatic) for her portrayal of Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker

    1978 - Anne was nominated for the Tony Award for Actress (Play) for her portrayal of Golda Meir in Golda
