American Theatre Wing's Antoinette Perry Awards

___The American Theatre Wing’s Antoinette Perry Awards are the American theatre’s most coveted honor.The Tony Awards Administration Committee is comprised of 24 members, of whom 10 are designated by the Wing, 10 by the League, and one

each by the Dramatists Guild, Actors' Equity Association, United Scenic Artists, and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. This committee determines eligibility for nominations in all awards categories, reviews the rules governing the awards, and appoints the Nominating Committee. It may, at its discretion, give special Tony Awards, the Regional Theatre Tony Award, and Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre.
Mel has been nominated for and won three Tony Awards. It was his broadway musical The Producers That broke the record in Tony Awards in 2001. Nominated in every category it was eligable for and winning every time. There were even a couple cases of two nominations in the same catigory.
    2001 - Mel Won the Tony Award for Musical for The Producers, The New Mel Brooks Musical/i>. He shared this award with the producers of The Producers of whom there are too many to name here.

    2001 - Mel Won the Tony Award for Book (Musical) for The Producers, The New Mel Brooks Musical. He shared this Tony with Thomas Meehan.

    2001 - Mel Won the Tony Award for Original Musical Score for The Producers, The New Mel Brooks Musical
