Laurel Awards

___The Laurel Awards are not like your normal awards, there is no ceremony but rather the results are published in the Motion Picture Exibitor magazine, the awards are decided by a poll of film buyers in the US and Canada, and some award categories may have as many as fifteen awardees in rank order. The award is also known as the Golden Laurel.

Anne has been nominated six times for the Golden Laurel and has been a runner up one of the six times.
    1963 - Anne was twice nominated for the Golden Laurel this year:
    - for Top Female Dramatic Performance for her
    portrayal of Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker(1962)
    - for Top Female Star. She came out as a runner-up, in 12th place.

    1965 - Anne was nominated for the Golden Laurel for Dramatic Performance, Female for her portrayal of Jo Armitage in The Pumpkin Eater(1964). She came out in 4th place.

    1968 - Anne had two nominations for the Golden Laurel this year:
    - for Female Star. She came out in 6th place.
    - for Female Dramatic Performance for her portrayal of Mrs.
    Robinson in The Graduate(1967). She came out in 4th place.

    1970 - Anne was nominated for the Golden Laurel for Female Star. She came out in 14th place.
