British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards

___The BAFTA awards are the British version of the Oscars. The awards are voted by the members of the British Academy. The award is in the form of a statuette known as the BAFTA mask. The first awards were given out in 1948.

Anne has been nominatated seven times for the BAFTA award and has won three
of those seven times:
    1963 - Anne Won the BAFTA Film Award for Best Foreign Actress for her portrayal of Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker(1962)

    1965 - Anne Won the BAFTA Film Award for Best Foreign Actress for her portrayal of Jo Armitage in The Pumpkin Eater(1964)

    1969 - Anne was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate(1967)

    1973 - Anne was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Jenny(Lady Randolf) Churchhill in Young Winston(1972)

    1976 - Anne was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Edna in The Prisoner of Second Avenue(1974)

    1979 - Anne was nominated for the BAFTA Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Emma Jacklin in The Turning Point(1977)

    1988 - Anne Won the BAFTA Film Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Helene Hanff in 84 Charing Cross Road(1986)
